Yorkshire in 360

I’ve always been passionate about technology, creativity, and helping others. After a career in the Royal Signals, where I developed a strong background in communications and technology, I moved into training and development, specialising in eLearning, filmography, and graphic design. Today, I work as a Technology Enhanced Learning Developer at Yorkshire Ambulance Service, where I combine my skills in video production, immersive learning, and digital design to create engaging and innovative training experiences. I've always believed that the right technology, when used creatively, can make a real difference, whether that's helping someone learn or helping them find a moment of calm.

The idea for Yorkshire in 360 came a few years ago while I was filming immersive 360° training videos for new ambulance support workers. Those videos were designed to prepare staff for the realities of life on the road, sensory-heavy and fast-paced. But it sparked another thought: what if we could use the same immersive technology to do the opposite? To slow things down instead of speed them up, to create a tool for relaxation, reflection, and mental wellbeing. That's how Yorkshire in 360 was born. In my own time, I began creating these videos to offer a different kind of support, one that helps people step away from stress and find a little peace whenever they need it.

Each video is carefully captured using professional-grade equipment, including the Insta360 Pro 2 camera and the H3-VR ambisonic audio recorder, allowing for fully immersive visuals and soundscapes. All editing and production is completed using industry-standard tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Reaper, and Audio Pan Suite, ensuring a high-quality and authentic experience. I'm always working on filming new locations and adding fresh content to the site, so there’s always something new to explore.
